About Amy Chen
Pianist, accompanist, pedagogue Amy Chen, started her piano training at age four, received her bachelor degree in music education from Capital Normal University (emphasizing piano). After moving to the US, she earned her master and doctoral degrees from Ball State University in piano performance, piano pedagogy, chamber music and accompanying.
As an active pianist and accompanist, Amy performs solo piano repertories, along with all instrumentalists, which include singers, instrumentalists, ensembles, choirs, operas and dancers.
With the passion and education background on music education and piano pedagogy, Amy is familiar with all different types of piano method books , and knows how to use different methods with different students. Students enjoy piano playing and music making under her instructions.
Amy has a wealth of teaching experience in all levels, from young beginners to college level students in music major. Her previous teaching experiences includes: served as a piano assistant professor at Chengdu University, School of Music and Dance; served as an adjunct piano professor in Huntington University; served as a graduate assistant at Ball State University, School of Music, taught group piano and private piano lessons. A large portion of her students got into college and master program in music majors, in all different countries. Amy also has been teaching private piano lessons to all ages for over 15 years.​

About Xiaodan Chen
Ms. Xiaodan Chen is the Music Director and piano accompanist at Neptune Music and Arts Center in East Cobb. She received her bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from both Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Eastern New Mexico University, and her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Arnaldo Cohen and Reiko Neriki. She has won the Second Prize at the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition held by Fryderyk Chopin Society of Texas. Being an experienced soloist and accompanist, Ms. Chen has taught many young pianists how to show their best performances on stage. She also teaches all age groups from beginners to exam takers. She takes pride in nurturing their musical journey and celebrating their accomplishments, fostering a lifelong love for the piano and music in all its splendid forms.

About Qianyu Chen
Qianyu (Jenny) Chen is an accomplished pianist and educator with over ten years of teaching experience. She maintains an active performance career at both national and international levels, with appearances in solo recitals, collaborative performances, and concertos with orchestras. She has participated in numerous music festivals and given master classes in several countries. In addition to her performance and teaching work, she frequently serves as a judge for music competitions. Her teaching philsosphy focuses on creating personalized instruction tailored to each student’s needs. She combines technical training with body movement to help students internalize rhythm and express the natural pulse of the music.
About Zhishan Zhang
Zhishan Zhang is a dedicated and experienced piano instructor with over seven years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and levels. She holds a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Pedagogy from the University of West Georgia. She is passionate about developing both technical skill and artistic expression in her students.
Known for her warm, structured, and student-centered approach, Zhishan blends classical foundations with personalized guidance to support each student’s individual musical journey. Her bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin allows her to connect meaningfully with families from diverse backgrounds.
Beyond the studio, Zhishan has served as a piano adjudicator and event coordinator, and she enjoys preparing students for recitals, competitions, and long-term growth. She believes music is not only a discipline, but a lifelong gift — and she aims to help each student grow with confidence, curiosity, and heart.

About Kay Takeda
Kay Takeda is a graduate of The Oberlin College Conservatory of Music (Bachelor of Music in Piano performance) and The Peabody Institute of Music of The Johns Hopkins University where she earned a Master of Music degree in piano performance. Her teachers include Joseph Schwartz, Peter Takács, Robert Shannon, and Julian Martin.

Over the past 30 years, in addition to teaching piano in both Japan and the US, Ms Takeda has performed in a wide variety of concerts in Maryland and Georgia. She was a frequent guest pianist with the Rome Symphony Chamber Music Players, and is a featured soloist at annual ceremonies given by the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta. Ms Takeda has also studied with Dorothy Taubman and Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Dorothy Taubman Institute, which helps pianists with debilitating conditions, such as tendinitis to overcome this problem. From her own experience of tendinitis, she has taught numerous pianists with rheumatism and tendinitis and helped them resume their musical practice. 


Ms Takeda is a RCM Certified Teacher of the Elementary and Intermediate levels. She is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, National Federation of Music Clubs, Music Teachers National Association, Georgia Music Teachers Association, and North Fulton Music Teachers Association. Her students, active participants in RCM, ABRSM, local auditions and National Federation Festivals, are Honors recipients and prize winners each year.
